3/28 Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

Just this past week, 13 children, ranging from 4 to 16 years old, have been executed point-blank near the Al-Shifa Hospital by Israeli forces. These are just the numbers that have been confirmed by eye witness testimony. On 3/24/24, Islam Ali Salouha was forced to watch as his sons Ali, 9, and Saeed, 6, were executed. Credible eye witnesses describe the acts as intentional. They were outside of their apartment after being told via loudspeaker by Israeli forces to leave immediately or risk bombardment. Islam said they had chosen to remain previously because there was no safe route for them to leave. When the residents evacuated as ordered, Israeli forces immediately opened fire. Ali and Saeed’s bodies were initially left behind because when the family tried to get to the children, Israeli forces increased their gunfire upon them.

On 3/28/24, today, the intentional, barbaric attacks on civilians and hospitals has escalated. The Al-Shifa Medical Complex was forcibly turned into Israeli military barracks. The entire area is a death zone of non-stop air and artillery bombardment, and live gunfire. Israel’s aggression hasn’t ended in the north of Gaza. Earlier today a video was released showing two unarmed men holding and waving white flags being executed at close range by Israeli forces. They buried their bodies in sand and rubbish with a bulldozer. This was near the Nabulsi Roundabout, southwest of Gaza City.

I demand that you: 

– Call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire

– Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace

– Hold Israel accountable for their violations of the Genocide Convention and all other international laws by any means necessary

– Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7

– Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce Leahy Law

– Reallocate all funds given to Israel and commit additional resources for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians starting with immediately resuming funding of UNRWA

– Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict

– Pass legislation that voids all anti-BDS laws at the federal level

– Vote no on H.R. 7521
