12/2 Daily Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

Israel has done nothing to minimize the loss of life in Gaza, the West Bank, and all other places they have been attacking Palestinians “to eradicate Hamas”. In fact, they have done the exact opposite. According multiple news outlets like The Guardian and +972 Magazine- an independent news outlet ran by Palestinian and Israeli journalists, the IDF has been using AI (“The Gospel”/Habsora) to maximize the loss of life and suffering. 

+972 magazine quotes from interviews with sources from current and former members of Israel’s military intelligence community that “Nothing happens by accident…When a 3-year-old girl is killed in a home in Gaza, it’s because someone in the army decided it wasn’t a big deal for her to be killed…These are not random rockets. Everything is intentional. We know exactly how much collateral damage there is in every home.” IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari said himself on October 9th, 2023, that their “emphasis is on damage and not on accuracy.” The Guardian goes on to add that “target researchers knew in advance the number of civilians expected to be killed.”

This is a gross violation of human rights- your continued support of sending Israel military aid is breaking our own laws. Leahy law exists for a reason. Why don’t you respect the rule of law? 

I demand that you: 

– Call for an immediate, total, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the West Bank, and all other areas the Israeli military is murdering or otherwise violating the human rights of Palestinians

– Call for an immediate end of genocide, apartheid, and occupation, and support both Israelis and Palestinians in efforts for real, long-lasting peace and equal human rights

– Permanently end all monetary and military aid given to Israel by correcting our budget and enforcing Leahy Law

– Reallocate all funds given to Israel to ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians to help them rebuild, care for the sick & injured, bury the dead with dignity, and ensure all of their basic needs are taken care of

– Repeal all federal anti-BDS laws and pass legislation that voids all state-level anti-BDS laws

– Restore my right of free speech by passing legislation that provides protection against discrimination or harassment for criticizing and demanding reform of any government or political ideology (including zionism) 

– Stop the militarization of our police by ending all types of cross-training done with the Israeli military, ceasing the construction of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, and all other ways this is accomplished

– Pass legislation that prohibits any governmental action that would target any ethnic, religious, or other minority group, either in the U.S. or abroad, by restricting humanitarian or financial aid, infringing on human rights, or other actions that would otherwise bring harm or cause undue burdens on said groups
