    5/29 Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

    Since the ICJ’s recent ruling ordering Israel to hault all military actions in Rafah and immediately withdraw, at least one Palestinian has been murdered every hour in Rafah. Again, that is only in RAFAH – that is only the minimum count. After the Rafah tent massacre where people were burned to death, the testimony from survivors coming out should horrify and shock the conscience of every person with a shred of morality. A journalist watched a child enter his family’s burning tent to try and save his mother who was disabled and could not walk. The flames were too powerful – once the child entered those around could not try and save him. After the fires were put out, the child was found burned to death, hugging his mother’s burned, dead body.

    Another day, 5/29, and more refugee tent massacres. Israel murdered at least 21 in a “designated safe zone” west of Rafah. Over the past 3 weeks, only 170 trucks of humanitarian aid have been allowed entry by Israel into Gaza. The absolute minimum needed is 500 trucks of aid per day. Israeli national security advisor, Tzachi Hangebi, says the genocide in Gaza will continue throughout 2024 at least. By then, hundreds of thousands will have starved to death. Current projections estimate that approximately 500,000 Palestinians will be murdered in Gaza from both Israeli forces artillery fire and intentional massacres, and fully preventable spread of disease, sickness, and lack of medical supplies to treat it by the end of 2024.

    I demand that you: 

    – Hold Israel accountable for a permanent, immediate ceasefire, their violations of the Genocide Convention, and gross human rights violations by any means necessary

    – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace

    – Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7

    – Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce Leahy Law

    – Reallocate all funds given to Israel and commit additional resources for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians starting with immediately resuming funding of UNRWA

    – Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict

    – Pass legislation that voids all anti-BDS laws at the federal level

    – Vote no on H.R. 7521 and any similar legislation proposed

    5/6 Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

    Israel has dropped “evacuation leaflets” on Rafah. Where are they going to go? Everyone in Rafah is going to be slaughtered soon. 1.4 million people have been facing slow deaths by being starved to death or picked off by the bombardments that have never stopped, and now they face imminent annihilation. Those in eastern Rafah have been told to move near al-Mawasi refugee camp. This is the same refugee camp that has been repeatedly bombed since 10/7. More recently, at the end of February, Israel targeted and murdered 2 doctors with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) while they were sheltering in place. 6 others were injured – 5 were women and children. The building was clearly marked MSF. When people were told to go near al-Mawasi late March during the barbaric slaughter and complete destruction of the al-Shifa Hospital, there was no organized humanitarian assistance. People were left without food and shelter then.

    So, what about now, early May, when eventually 1.4 million people are told to go there? Additionally, al-Mawasi is north of Rafah. The same “evacuation leaflets” advised that the north was not safe and people cannot evacuate there. Do you see the contradiction?

    And, of course, during the evacuation ordered by Israel, those that have been trying to follow those insane orders and leave the area are facing relentless airstrikes and constant artillery fire near eastern Rafah. Several have been injured or murdered already. It’s been clear this entire time these “evacuation notices” have been a thin veneer of excuse to say “we warned them to leave. They didn’t and that’s why they’re all dead”. We all see through this manipulation.

    There is still time to stop what will end up being the largest massacre committed by Israel since 10/7 in Gaza if you take real, decisive action now. I wish I believed you would, but I won’t stop demanding you do what’s right.

    I demand that you:

    2/13 Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

    As of 2/13, approximately 28,200 – 35,000 Palestinians have been murdered by Israel since 10/7. For the sake of assuming you aren’t a genocidal maniac, I’ll lay it out really simply for you. Your continued funding of, diplomatic cover for, and support of Israel means you are providing material support to terrorists. Oxford defines terrorism as “the calculated use of violence or threat of violence to inculcate fear…to coerce or intimidate…societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.” Cambridge defines violence as “actions or words that are intended to hurt people”.

    There are countless examples of terroristic acts, but for the sake of brevity, let’s examine the multiple times Israel has dropped leaflets on Gaza with threats of violence. Around 11/4 a message was dropped telling civilians if they came “within 300 meters” of the Israeli border they would be murdered, but there is no clear indicator on the ground of what this border actually is. On 12/7, Israel dropped leaflets with a quote from the Quran, mocking and terrorizing Palestinians with threats of destroying the water infrastructure, which they have since done. Most recently, on 1/20, Israel sent a message “You want to return home?” with instructions on how to “report Hamas” – a clear threat that they would continue to destroy residential areas, which they have also continued to do.

    Then, the most recent act of terror – the Rafah Superbowl massacres. Stop Israel’s reign of terror now.

    I demand that you: 

    – Call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and all other areas of occupied-Palestine

    – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid brutally imposed on Palestine, and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace

    – Hold Israel accountable for their war crimes and violations of the Genocide Convention and other international laws

    – Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7

    – Immediately resume funding of UNRWA and commit additional resources to all humanitarian groups providing aid to Palestinians not only because it is the right thing to do, but to end U.S. complicity in genocide

    – Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel by correcting our budget and enforcing our own laws like Leahy Law

    – Reallocate all funds given to Israel for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians to help them rebuild, care for the sick & injured, bury the dead with dignity, and ensure all of their basic needs are taken care of

    – Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a regional conflict

    – Repeal all federal anti-BDS laws and pass legislation that voids all state-level anti-BDS laws

    EuroMed Monitor quotes an estimated 35,096 dead shown on an infographic posted on their Instagram (link to post) as of 2/3/24. Their website has past infographics, but does not currently have this newest one included as of writing this blog post. This is not unusual- I believe they first post on social media and then add to the infographic section of their site later. Prior infographics posted on Instagram and then shown on their site have the exact same figures & data.

    *Why are multiple sources used for the death count?

    The situation in Gaza has only gotten worse since the AP published this article on 11/21. The official numbers we are seeing from Gaza’s Ministry of Health are undercounted, and have been since at least 11/21.

    EuroMed Monitor is a NGO established in 2011 that advocates for the human rights of all persons across Europe and the MENA region. They have a regional office in the Palestinian Occupied Territories. I believe their estimates are credible which is why I quote them, and will continue to, when referring to the estimated death toll.

    My personal opinion is that the true number is even higher than estimated- people are dying from starvation, thirst, infections, and illnesses. Even if the genocide ended this moment, these types of deaths will unfortunately continue for some time. I believe their deaths should be counted. They may not have been shot/bombed/etc. by the Israeli military, but their deaths are directly attributable to the total siege, occupation, and intentional** destruction of civilian, water, waste management, and medical infrastructure by Israel.

    **Why are you accusing Israel of intentionally destroying important infrastructure and targeting civilians?

    It’s not an accusation. They’ve admitted to it.

    I’ve noticed a pattern – Halloween, Thanksgiving weekend, the week of Christmas and Christmas day, New Years, and now the Superbowl weekend, the indiscriminate bombing of Gaza peaks. I’ve seen the horrific massacres that began literally the moment the Superbowl began and is still ongoing today. Rafah is the farthest south and the “safe zone” Israel ordered the entirety of the Gaza strip to evacuate to. It is now the most densely populated area in the world. Approximately 1.5 – 1.7 million displaced people are in Rafah. Over half the population is in this small area of land right at the Egyptian border. There is no where else to go. Israel did not create an “evacuation plan” and despite Biden saying there had to be before the ground offensive, it continued on.

    I guess I shouldn’t be surprised when Biden literally called the massacres a U.S. “military operation in Rafah” in a press conference today after his meeting with the King of Jordan. Did he misspeak or was this a Freudian slip revealing the truth? I’m leaning more towards the actual truth since this is my same genocidal president who decided to post on X a creepy image of himself with red eyes the moment bombs were mass murdering Palestinians during the Superbowl.

    I demand that you:
