6/30 Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

Israel’s slaughter across Gaza continues today, 6/30, without any signs of stopping. Just in one family alone, 6 were murdered today when the family residence was bombed in southern Rafah. The Zurub family’s tragedy is a microcosm of the tragedy all Palestinian families have been experiencing throughout this genocide. The genocide doesn’t end at human lives – the intentional destruction of important cultural, religious, and similar sites are clearly aimed to further erase Palestinian identity. The most recent example happened earlier today when Israeli forces torched the al-Awda Mosque in the center of Rafah. No where is safe in Gaza, especially when Israel acts as though they are above international laws and the rules of warfare.

“The most moral army in the world” said in response to the continued, growing global outcry of their war crimes that they continue to use “targeted, intelligence-based” operations in Rafah. Because of brave whistleblowers, we know exactly what that means. Israel has been and continues to employ AI systems – monikered “The Gospel”, “Lavender”, and “Where’s Daddy?” to intentionally maximize the loss of human life and destruction of property in the most inhumane ways possible. “Where’s Daddy?” is particularly sinister – the AI-generated assassination targets, who are at least 10% of the time not even remotely connected to Hamas, are tracked to their homes where airstrikes are timed to when they enter. This is done in the middle of the night when the entire family is present and not when a target was engaged in any kind of “militant activity”. This is one of the reasons why we see such a disturbing death toll just for children.

I demand that you: 

– Hold Israel accountable for a permanent, immediate ceasefire, their violations of the Genocide Convention, and gross human rights violations by any means necessary

– Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace

– Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7

– Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce Leahy Law

– Reallocate all funds given to Israel and commit additional resources for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians starting with immediately resuming funding of UNRWA

– Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict

– Pass legislation that voids all anti-BDS laws at the federal level

– Vote no on H.R. 7521 and any similar legislation proposed
