    4/14 Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

    It’s only been a few days after Israel’s terrorist National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for even more violence towards Palestinians. Today, 4/14, Israeli settler-colonial terrorists destroyed 30+ olive and almond trees in the occupied West Bank near the illegal Barkan settlement. I wish it stopped there – several Israeli soldiers burned a Palestinian family’s car in the West Bank. On the video recording of the terror attack, you can hear them say, “These are the scum of nations…the dirtiest creatures on this earth…they are not human.” Elsewhere in the West Bank near the village of Kafr Malik, Israeli soldiers provided back-up for settler-colonial terrorists who have been attacking and shooting people. A young man was injured.

    Yesterday in Duma, West Bank, Israeli settler-colonial terrorists stormed the area, lit houses and cars on fire, and indiscriminately opened fire on the town. No one knows how Binyamin Achimair tragically died in the area, the Israeli teen whose death is being used to justify the collective punishment and attempted annihilation of an entire town.

    Ben-Gvir has emboldened, incited, and encouraged violence against Palestinians well before 10/7, and has only escalated his rhetoric in recent weeks. Every time he calls for violence, sure enough, it comes through.

    I demand that you: 

    – Hold Israel accountable for a permanent, immediate ceasefire, their violations of the Genocide Convention, and gross human rights violations by any means necessary

    – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace

    – Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7

    – Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce Leahy Law

    – Reallocate all funds given to Israel and commit additional resources for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians starting with immediately resuming funding of UNRWA

    – Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict

    – Pass legislation that voids all anti-BDS laws at the federal level

    – Vote no on H.R. 7521 and any similar legislation proposed

    Israel’s terrorist National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has vowed to make things even worse for Palestinian hostages held captive in military prison death camps. Limb amputations are already a routine procedure in these facilities due to severe damages done by the use of prolonged use of and too tightly bound body restraints. The recent Israeli doctor whistleblower describing the horrifying treatment of Palestinians at Sde Teiman army base corroborates what we already know to be true – these military prisons are places to torture and abuse people to dismemberment, death, or both. And, Ben-Gvir wants it to be even worse than it is now.

    Children are not spared these horrors. Save The Children has multiple reports detailing the crimes Israeli forces have and continue to commit – ranging from sexual abuse, torture, and solitary confinement. You should be ashamed of aligning yourself and our country with terrorists.

    I demand that you:

    3/13 Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

    Israeli terrorists attacked a bus full of orphans being transferred from Gaza to the West Bank after Israel destroyed their orphanage. This call for violence came directly from Israeli Ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir labeling these children as their enermy. This is the same reason that more children have been murdered in Gaza by Israel than in four years of war worldwide.

    In the last 24 hours on 3/13, approximately 100 people have been murdered that we know of. Attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank and all other areas of occupied Palestinians have been increasing both from Israeli forces and Israeli settler-colonial terrorists. In East Jerusalem, a 13yo boy, Rami Hamdan al-Halhuli, was murdered after Israeli forces shot him in the back.

    One of the other people injured in recent attacks is an American woman you’ve abandoned. Israeli forces bombed her home in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. The only reason she survived is because of the brave efforts of the community in a painstaking 2 hour operation to free her from the rubble. She is just one of the Americans you’ve abandoned throughout occupied-Palestine.

    I demand that you: 

    – Call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire

    – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace

    It’s wild to me that you are giving carte blanche to a government that continues to publicly state their racist, genocidal intentions towards Palestinians. In one of the only acts of care Israeli forces have shown in evacuating 95 orphans from Rafah in the Gaza strip to the Israeli-occupied city of Bethlehem at the request of Germany, assuming they didn’t torture the children or their guardians as they’re known to do, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich denounced the operation. He called it an “immoral order” and urged Israelis to block the roads being used to transfer these children to safety. Israeli Minister of National Security and known follower of a terrorist organization as labeled by OUR government, Itamar Ben-Gvir also shared his disgusting opinion saying “In war, you have to crush the enemy”. We’re talking about 95 children, starved by, orphaned due to, and without shelter because of Israel. Both the Israeli government and people have repeatedly referred to Palestinian children as their enemy.

    I ask you reflect on convicted terrorist and Israel’s Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir’s words that: “[we will have] the migration of hundreds of thousands from Gaza”. It seems you haven’t understood what ethnic cleansing since you’ve done nothing, but don’t worry, Britannica has one: “the attempt to create ethnically homogeneous geographic areas through the deportation or forcible displacement of persons…sometimes involves the…destruction of monuments, cemeteries, and houses of worship.”

    From satellite imagery to first hand accounts, we have undeniable proof of the razing of the Gaza strip that includes mosques, Christian churches, cemeteries, hospitals, and other important cultural sites. The recent return of the bodies Israel literally stole from morgues came back mutilated, with concerns organs were illegally harvested. Given Israel admitted to this before in the 90s, I believe they’d do it now, too. Israel has similarly lied about not using white phosphorous on civilians citing their promise they wouldn’t do it again from 2008.

    Your continued lack of action to stop this genocide is disgusting. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, Ben-Gvir does call you his “best friend”.

    I demand that you: 

    – Call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the West Bank, and all areas the Israeli military is murdering or otherwise violating the human rights of Palestinians

    – Call for the immediate end of genocide, apartheid, and occupation, and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom, peace, and their human rights

    – Call for the immediate release of Palestinian “prisoners” (hostages) held captive in Israeli military prisons

    – Permanently end all monetary and military aid given to Israel by correcting our budget and enforcing Leahy Law

    – Reallocate all funds given to Israel to ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians to help them rebuild, care for the sick & injured, bury the dead with dignity, and ensure all of their basic needs are taken care of

    – Repeal all federal anti-BDS laws and pass legislation that voids all state-level anti-BDS laws

    – Restore my right to free speech and the freedom of the press by condemning all discrimination or harassment for criticizing any government or political ideology (including zionism) and by doing everything possible to prevent future assaults to my rights, including governmental control and/or censorship of the Internet

    – Stop the militarization of our police by ending all cross-training done with the Israeli military, ceasing the construction of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, and all other ways this is accomplished

    – Pass legislation that prohibits any governmental action that would target any ethnic, religious, or other minority group (including Palestinians), either in the U.S. or abroad, by restricting humanitarian or financial aid, infringing on their human rights, or other actions that would otherwise bring harm or cause undue burdens on said groups

    12/26 Petition to Biden & U.S. Congress

    Israel’s aggression against all Palestinians is rising. On Christmas Day, multiple locations in the West Bank were targeted, including Bethlehem. On the day and the place Christ was born, Palestinians were detained in mass, fired upon, and otherwise terrorized. In Burqa, a teenage boy was shot in the neck by the IDF, leading to severe injury. Israeli hostility is accelerating in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and all other areas of occupied Palestine. This looks exactly how the siege and mass murder of the Gaza Strip began, but now add the settler-colonists’ armed violence in addition to the IDF’s.

    I can’t help but think about the brutal executions of Basil Suleiman Abu al-Wafa, a young teenage boy, and Adam Samer al-Ghoul, a boy of only 8, who were both murdered the day after Thanksgiving. Basil was shot in the chest and survived long enough to die at the hospital. His family described him as a studious child focused on school and enjoying simple times with his friends. Adam, the youngest, was shot in the head and died at the scene. The children were playing in the street together before the attack. Their final moments were captured on video. How many Palestinian children have met a similar fate from Thanksgiving to Christmas?

    Imposing visa bans on extremist Israeli settler-colonists, and delaying assault rifle sales to Israel in response to the violence committed against Palestinians in the West Bank has been one small step in the right direction. The truth is, however, it’s all extreme. Colonization is inherently violent. Losing your home, livelihood, and safety has lasting repercussions for future generations. You don’t have to lose your life to suffer gravely from the violence. Biden’s remarks that “those committing the violence must be held accountable” in the West Bank. Nothing has been done to hold anyone committing violence against Palestinians accountable. On Christmas Eve, Netanyahu approved a $21m initiative to further colonize the occupied West Bank.

    Both Netanyahu and his National Security Minister Ben-Gvir have increased armaments of Israeli settler-colonists since October. Ben-Gvir, a convicted terrorist, has been working closely with Israeli extremist Dagan to raise money for these weapons. Dagan is the leader of efforts to annul the law that has protected Gaza from recolonization. He has already successfully led similar efforts which led to the recolonization of northern Samaria.

    This holiday season, my country has given me the blood of children in exchange for my tax dollars. You have failed at every level to uphold the values of life, liberty, and prosperity for all. You have consistently undermined all efforts to stop the genocide of Palestinians. From where I’m sitting, I see no difference between people like Ben-Gvir, Dagan, and Netanyahu from you. You’ve consistently replied to my letters every day you unequivocally stand with the actions of Israel.

    Call for a ceasefire right now.

    12/16 Petition to Biden and U.S. Congress

    Hospitals have been and continue to be targeted not just in Gaza, but in the West Bank. A father in Jenin had to carry his 13-year-old son to the hospital on foot because of the Israeli blockade of the local hospital. The boy was pronounced dead on arrival. Israel has a long-standing record of collective punishment.

    On 12/14 the Israeli soldiers desecrated a mosque in Jenin. Loudspeakers blasted Jewish religious music to the surrounding neighborhood while they performed rituals during the descreation. Meanwhile, besieged Palestinians were locked in their homes for 3 days as soldiers raided, murdered, illegally detained, and otherwise harassed people. 

    This isn’t the first time Israel has used religion to try and inspire fear or otherwise conflate Palestinians with the evil “Amalek” from the Jewish holy book. While the “IDF” has stated they have “punished” the soldiers in Jenin, the footage of this incident was originally circulated by Israel’s Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir on Telegram. He called it “a prayer performed by our heroic soldiers in a mosque in Jenin”. When soldiers left Jenin, they left behind graffiti on the mosque saying “greetings from the [Gaza] envelope”.

    Israeli soldiers have been posting disturbing photos and videos showing similar acts of religious extremism since 10/7 – pick a social media platform, look for IDF soldiers, and you’ll find their self-reported hate crimes. None of this is new, the only notable part is the increasing frequency and intensity. 

    Ben-Gvir was convicted in 2007 for hate speech against Arabs and supporting anti-Arab terrorist organizations, as labeled by our government. He is a disciple of a rabbi who was banned from the Israeli government and leader of a terrorist group in 1990. Even our State Department spokesman said in 2022 when Ben-Gvir was giving tribute to the rabbi, “Celebrating the legacy of a terrorist organization is abhorrent.”

    When Ben-Gvir became the Minister of National Security in 2022, both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas raised concerns that this would be an omen for catastrophic future deterioration of relations with Israel due to Ben-Givr’s extremism.

    Israel knew about the 10/7 attack at least a year before it happened. Analysts from Israel’s intelligence agency also sounded the alarm in July about the possibility of this plan being enacted soon. They were ignored. Shortly after the 10/7 attack, Ben-Gvir tried to deflect government responsibility by saying “This is not the time for questions, tests, and investigations.”

    This IS the time for questions, tests, and investigations. This is the time to enforce Leahy law and stop providing military weapons, training, and financial aid to Israel. This is the time for a ceasefire – an end to apartheid, occupation, and ethnic cleansing. 

    When you say you unequivocally support the government of Israel, people like Ben-Gvir are who you are aligning yourself with. Do the right thing – call for a ceasefire now.
